Some helpful hints for offline marketing:
• Press Releases: Send out press releases to all local business magazines, newspapers, and article divisions. Announce new opening, offerings, services, improvements, achievements, anything newsworthy. Also attach an interview request along with the press release. • Ad in Newspaper: Run it for a prolonged period of time. It will be better to go small and repeat rather than large and one time. We want to look for a 4-6 month contract. • Ad in Phone Book: Place an ad in the yellow pages of the phone book. • Print Media: Business Cards – give it out to everyone you can. Leave them at meetings, tables, restaurants, businesses, etc. • Information Packet/Brochure – Give it out to potential clients outlining our main selling points, about us, packages for sale, etc. Can either mail it off to local businesses or give it out to them face to face. • Post cards – send them out to established and newly formed businesses. Provide them with contact info and a little bit about what we can do for them and their business. • Contacting new businesses – Check with local offices to see new business license filings and get in touch with those companies to host their newly formed businesses site. • Local Chamber of Commerce – Join the CoC and gain many new contacts and perks throughout the community. • Flyers – Leave flyers up at targeted and untargeted locations: bulletin boards, grocery stores, businesses, and anywhere that will allow you to. • Partnerships – Partner up with local firms to offer a complete package - for example, local webhosting firms can join up with local web design firms to offer a strong set of solutions. Also send each other referrals • Local sponsorships/Charities – Host local charities or help out local events/charities. • Affiliate/Referral Program: Help word of mouth grow by offering incentives for customers to refer their friends, associates, family, etc to host with us. • Trade Shows • If you can handle it, offer to do talks at local business meetings.
