Hi paulp, and welcome to the business-talk forums. Smiley

As for the above - it's simply a quote - nothing more. It sometimes happens and there's nothing badly amiss with it happening. Smiley

I think we should take every opportunity to encourage women in business - especially the ones who are able to sit on your knee and make a cup of tea at the same time.

Hey Brian,

No probs - i'm not sexist really, just stimulating the posts. i have a habit of arguing against the norm just to get different angles and opinions on subjects. the last thing anyone wants to be surrounded with is 'yes' men. i've been to several meetings with reps from the bank of england where all the entourage goes through a process of nodding in agreement with anything that is said by the b of e reps . i find these situations rather tedious and the debate rather boring (how can you discuss/debate anything if we all agree?). in the words of carlito - 'you have to cover all the angles' - this being very true in business also - as well as have a sense of humour.

i shall ofcourse consider my comments with respect to this forum.

keep cool dude.

Certainly discussion and a sense of humour are desirable - as are a general sensitivity to other member feelings. We can criticise ideas for what they are, and disagree with opinions. It would be unfortunate if members saw themselves being personally or generally ridiculed, though. So long as due consideration is given. Smiley

Of course women have a sense of humor else we wouldn't date men. Smiley
(And some of us are too busy to date anyway!)
