Can anyone recommend a few good B2B e-mail list rental companies?

Kind Regards.

Hi spencerpc, and welcome to the business forums. Smiley apologies for the late reply - new baby you see. Smiley

I'm afraid I've not used direct e-mail marketing myself, so I can't recommend anything - but hopefully someone else will soon enough. Smiley

Are there any good ones?
I'd take a god shot that there are a lot of heap ones that are worthless spam mongers and the respectable ones as too damn expensive for the return on the investment. Who reads e-mail ads? Most will no doubt be routed as spam through the mail filters.

Actually, you do have quite a point there. I guess that's why spencer was asking for recommendations. Smiley

If he gets any, I'd like to specifically ask that these come with an idea of ROI (Return of Investment) in comparison with the actual advertising costs. I figure some of those newsletters are going to charge pretty hefty.

Make sure you can check the integrity of the supplier. If it's a scam you can get tarred and that won't help your online presence at all.

We used to be sceptical about data providers but you do need to find a good data provider, there are alot of cowboys out there. We have an email marketing product, called NewZapp, and get asked regularly for data.

In May we started to have discussions with a data provider, we were initially very sceptical I have to admit.

We were about to do a show in Glasgow and hadn't arranged any meetings, so we decided to test our potential partner. They provided data for 600 contacts from central Scotland, the Friday before the show. We emailed them with the details of the show and what we were exhibiting. On Monday we reviewed the campaign statistics and found 7 people had opened the email several times and clicked on links detailing further information. Our sales staff phoned the 7 people, we saw 6 of them at the show on the Wednesday and Thursday, and another 3 we had emailed and not phoned. Since then we have sold to 2, a 3rd is a dealer, and we have submitted 1 tender.

I think this is the best 'cold' marketing activity we have completed. We simply couldnot have completed this without
1. Email Marketing
2. Good data
