I'm currently advising my business clients to use Mozilla FireFox instead of Internet Explorer, because of the fewer security vulnerabilities.

I am only using Mozilla myself, precisely because of spyware issues exploiting IE vulnerabilities.

Just as a general question, though, which browser do you use? And how do other browsers, such as Opera and Safari, fit into the equation? Safe and easy alternatives to IE?

I'm a little ashamed to vote for IE.  I tried to use Netscape for ages but it kept crashing, so I eventually made the conversion to IE.

FireFox 99% of the time.  Occasionally I have to open up IE to use certain sites.

Recently Natwest online banking has become 100% compatible with FireFox, which was virtually the only site I would have issues with.

Yes, I've had problems with Yorksire Bank and HSBC not being compatible with Mozilla for internet banking.

I was still using IE until the security breach I had a few weeks back. There are actually a few niggles about Firefox - but as I currently surf on a business PC so I have to be more careful with security issues - if nothing else, simply tp prevent my PC becoming damaged or crippled.

I prepare my website(s) for use on the most popular browser around...IE.  There's no other reason why I stick to it.  If its popularity declines then I'll probably go with whatever taks its place.

As for the security/stability issues, well I've never had any problems. Smiley
